Flooding Season of the Nard

Aspine Melifis

As Ardnard enters another set of sunnies, it is my duty as the weatherer to provide: there will be sun. The sun will be there, except when it won’t, which is most of the night. The city’s namesake river Nard is entering its flooding season, with the many turns that give it its intestine-like curls will disappear, to form the transient lake Nard, along with the upcoming mosquitoes, flies, more mosquitoes, and the wonderful Ardnard regatta. As usual, we expect the flooding to last for a good two weeks, and then the regatta will be picked up until next, and the mosquitoes will vanish, which, as a person spending a lot of time outdoors, I will gladly appreciate.
